While the first year at NETRIN was mostly about enabling zone based training using our mobile application, we are now focussing on two major things - scaling Netrin's coaching and nudge platform to scale to 1000s of users, making the product much more engaging and fun to use. Going through the ups and downs of a startup has been a great experience indeed.
What started as building a habit tracking app has now become this sustainable happiness based life approach where productivity happens as a side effect instead of a productivity focused approach that could lead to burnout. The approach is based off my own life experiences as written here.
I'm revisiting core database concepts. After finishing Alex Petrov's 'Database Internals', planning to pick up 'Design of column oriented databases' and 'Database performance at scale'.
My last read was 'Psychology of money' by Morgan Housel. Loved the way how he defined wealth. Have picked up 'Home Deus' as the next book, shifting genres. I loved Sapiens, so hoping this will be a good read too.
I'm prepping for upcoming Chennai 10k run first week of January, 2025. I recently had a knee injury, so doing just a 10k instead of original goal of 21k. Apart from that training, I strength train 4 days a week to put on some muscle mass and reduce my body fat percentage. (aiming at 15%)
